Friends, Family, and Fans,
When Adir and Jed asked me to get involved with this record, in the sweltering heat of summer, we had no idea what we were getting into. They were somewhere in the ballpark of a year’s worth of tracking and had blown through two sets of mixes. We picked an impossible two week deadline. Thinking back now I can’t help but laugh about it, and when we missed it, I promised Adir that all things worth doing take time. Even I didn’t know how much time we would devote to this record, though. A tour, a trip to Israel, another release or two, have all come to pass before an end was finally in sight. We even had to change the name of the record, all the while reminding each other that all things worth doing take time. It has been a test of our patience, ingenuity, friendship, and faith. It has served to prove and to teach us the reasons that we do this and why we do this together. All the while reminding us that all things worth doing take time.
We spent this past weekend at Marcata Recording, mastering the record with Kevin Mcmahon. It wasn’t until then that we realized there was actually an end to this long road. In shock, we listened to the finished product of this thing we had all put so much into and sent it off to press. I can honestly say that I couldn’t be more proud to have had a hand in its making and I think it really shows that all things worth doing take time. I hope you all agree.
At midnight I am proud to announce that we are giving you all a sneak peak of what you’ve been waiting years to hear! Stay tuned for the single from “These Years On The Boat”!!!
Love,
